The JFK Airport is connected to Midtown Manhattan via the AirTrain system. The AirTrain transports passengers from each of the airport terminals to the New York subway and commuter rail system. There is no charge to take the AirTrain between airport terminals, however, a $5 charge on trips to the two subway stations. Travel time between the airport and Midtown Manhattan is 30-40 minutes.
