The New York JFK International Airport is the fifth busiest airport by passenger traffic in the world. Each year over 61 million passengers arrive or depart from JFK.

The airport is also called the "John F. Kennedy International Airport" or simply "Kennedy Airport".

The JFK International Airport is located 12 miles (19 km) from Lower Manhattan.

Ground Transportation

The JFK Airport is connected to Midtown Manhattan via the AirTrain system. The AirTrain transports passengers from each of the airport terminals to the New York subway and commuter rail system. There is no charge to take the AirTrain between airport terminals, however, a $5 charge on trips to the two subway stations. Travel time between the airport and Midtown Manhattan is 30-40 minutes.
